Obverse: Charles Barber's depiction of Liberty is portrayed facing right with motto IN GOD WE TRUST and 13 stars around the periphery. The date centered at the bottom.
Reverse: An eagle with wings fully spread holding a ribbon in its beak bearing the words E PLURIBUS UNUM. In its talons the bird holds an olive branch and arrows. Stars appear in the field above the eagle and the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * QUARTER DOLLAR appear around the periphery
